Meu...

"Hello future host family! :)
My name is Tatiana Mueller. I am 20 years old and live in a small city in Brazil called Sorocaba.
I am really excited to become an au pair, I'm really looking forward for new experiences, and learning new things.
I started studying english when I was 9 years old in an english school called "Teacher Laura" and I always wanted to be a teacher. When I was 14 they asked me to work there as a teacher assistant, and it was great, because I could see and learn lots of different ways of teaching. When I was 16 I started teaching english for 3 year old kids in this same school. By the age of 18 I had to choose between two courses in the university (Called UNISO - Sorocaba's University), education and another one that is specific for teaching english, but this second one works with teenagers and I always knew that I liked the little ones, from 0 to 11 years old.
After one year of university, I did one exchange and went to England for three months, to improve my english. It was awesome, a whole different culture, different people, I had a really nice time there.
So as I had chosen to study education, I had to start working in a regular school, so when I came back from UK I started looking for another job. After two months, I did some interviews, and started working in a canadian bilingual school called MapleBear, as an assistant.
And at the beginning of 2013 they asked me to become a teacher and teach twelve 3 year old children. It is a pleasure to work with them, actually, I am the teacher but they are the ones teaching me things everyday. I love having fun with them, doing activities, painting, playing at the playground, etc. My students are awesome! I love spending time with them, talking to them, asking things they like... For me, it's really fun to listen to whatever they have to tell me. I will miss them a lot!
About my family, I have a really big one. We are 6 sisters, 3 of them are from my father's first marriage and two from the marriage with my mother. In my house, I am the oldest one, my "little" sisters are Carol and Regina and they are 18 and 17 years old and I am always taking care of all of them, we are like best friends, always together. Sometimes we travel to the beach together, 7 girls (with my mom) and just my dad! It is really fun, we laugh a lot when we meet.
My dad is an engineer and my mom a vet, so, as you can imagine, we have lots of pets. 4 dogs, 4 cats, birds, turtles, fishes... Most of them were injured animals, that we took care and couldn't give them away. They are part of the family :)
My house is almost like a farm, we have a big garden, with grass, lots of fruit trees and space for the pets.
During my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my friends, we usually have dinner somewhere and talk the whole night about our routines and stuff, or we go to the cinema, listen to music, read... I have awesome friends, I am really lucky person!
My friends are always telling me that I am really patient, calm and responsible. And I really think that these are some qualities that a teacher should have, so I really like when they tell me that.
I recent joined one christmas choir group and I'm loving it! I also play flute since I was 9 and started taking singing classes this year.
I am really shy at first and sometimes I am quite insecure about my english, but when you get to know me, I can be really friendly and funny.
I hope I can find a family where I can be like a big sister for the kids and I am sure that we are going to have lots of fun together! :D
Thank you so much for reading my letter,
I hope you liked it.
Xoxo,
Tati."
